Black sapote: identify the fruit before choosing nutrition data
Food identity, the scope of available data and the calculation that can be supported.
Black sapote and ordinary persimmon
Diospyros nigra, with the synonym Diospyros digyna Jacq., is known as black sapote. Sharing a genus does not establish the same composition as Diospyros kaki. White sapote and a different dark-fleshed fruit must not inherit this fruit's identity.
No substituted calorie value
The reviewed corpus has no separate admitted macro record for Diospyros nigra flesh. Ordinary persimmon is not used as a substitute. Missing data are not zero calories. Use a verified record or the label of the actual puree or dessert, and weigh the edible portion. Count added sugar and cream separately.
Continue with your own food
Match the edible part, preparation and nutrition basis. Use your own package or receipt when it describes the actual food. Missing values remain unknown.
